Rafael Vitolas is a certified teacher in composite social studies as well as gifted and talented teaching with 15 years of experience at the middle school and high school levels. Since 2009, he has been employed as a geography teacher at a high school in San Antonio, Texas, where he teaches both advanced and regular courses in geography. A member of the American Federation of Teachers, Rafael Vitolas gained teaching experience at several secondary schools in Texas.

Prior to his present position, Rafael Vitolas spent two years with Dell Inc. in Round Rock, Texas, as a sales representative, managing sales to public account clients such as state colleges and public schools. In consultation with customers, he leveraged his knowledge and day-to-day experience with school districts to deliver a positive customer experience, resulting in increased revenue of his accounts by an average of 62 percent over two years. Rafael Vitolas was also responsible for managing the Dell statewide Microsoft volume license contract.

As a college undergraduate, Rafael Vitolas was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Texas, where he earned double Bachelor of Science degrees in Secondary Education and History in 1996. In 2010, Rafael Vitolas received his Master?s in Educational Administration from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. At all of the schools he has worked at throughout his career, he has served as a coach for a variety of sports, including golf, football, track, and basketball. He enjoys playing golf in his spare time. A regular donor to the Texas Association of Goodwills, Rafael Vitolas resides in the San Antonio area.
